I’m Nil, an artist based in Vienna, creating spontaneous, automatic drawings. My studies in archaeology and multimedia design, along with my experience working as an assistant in an art shop, deepened my interest in culture, art, and human history, and strengthened my passion for creative thinking and artistic production. My work is sophisticated and surrealist; a journey guided not by the mind, but by the subconscious.
My drawings often take form through the female body, because I aim to reflect the voices women have long been forced to silence.
They are like dreams—both familiar and strange. They bend and question reality, reflecting relationships, systems, identities, and wounds.
